The mercurial Dutch striker latched onto the end of a long ball from the defence, cut inside his man before placing a deft shot with the outside of his right foot into the net and beyond Argentinaâs keeper, Carlos Roa to grab a late victory for Holland and send Argentina crashing out.
Even though Dennis Bergkamp is not as famous as another Dutchman who contributed to our list of the best goals in the history of football, Marco Van Basten, his goal is definitely one to be remembered.
